2001 GFJ-294 SVALBARD SURVEY

NOTE:

• There is difference between file number and event number. The file number is generated by the recording system and the event number by the navigation system (the survey computer). The navigation report should contain information on how they can be distinguished, based on trace header keywords.
  
  
• TIF means "Tape Image Format". This is a GECO TriAcq 3480 tape format. The content of one GECO TriAcq 3480 tape is wrapped inside a TIF file . Each TIF file contains a user specified number of shotfiles (typically 72).
  
  
• A file that contains TIF in it's name holds the content of a certain number of GECO TriAcq 3480 TIF tape files. Example:
  2001-p1-TIF-2-5.sgy holds the content of 4 TIF files: No. 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  
  
• A file without *-TIF-* holds first and last shot number. Example:
  2001-p2-18-317.sgy holds the content of shotfile no. 18 to 317 (including).
