>>> RWS Guntuning and Control System <<< The GTCS system is designed to handle from 1 to 4 air or waterguns and optionally 1 farfield hydrophone. The system offers the following capabilities: 1. Reception of sync 2. Continous monitoring of all channels 3. Setting of delays and gains 4. Automatic tuning facilities 5. Detection of firing times 6. Transmission of firing times and signature 7. Logging to disk 8. Testing of tuning and transmission 9. Various scaling facilities 10. Zooming 11. Utilities The system is controlled by function keys. The menus appear at lower par of the screen. At system startup an initiation menu will appear. %2 For all commands which may be set or unset the setting is indicated by a star after the command currently beeing active. For the zoom command the main menu will display ZOOM or UNZM depending on previous setting - the command field displaying next possible command action. In this information file the default values at startup will be indicated by (def) at the end of the explanation field. A few command actions are not displayed on the scrren. The following applies: PgUp: - Increment level number by 1 PgDn: - Decrement level number by 1 End : - Reset level number to 1 (Use the SetLev command under Utility to set the level number to an arbitrary value) PgUp: - Increment shot number by 1 PgDn: - Decrement shot number by 1 End : - Reset shot number to 0 (will be increased to 1 by consequtive shot) (Use the SetShot command under Utility to set the shot number to an arbitrary value) %3 Parameter files: The following parameters will be saved/restored from the parameter file: 1. Number of samples for guns and FFhyd 2. Number of guns 3. Number of FFhyd 4. FFhyd display offset in no. of samples 5. Start of trigger window for guns 6. End of trigger window for guns 7. Start of trigger window for FFhyd 8. End of trigger window for FFhyd 9. Type of scaling 10. Delay preset for these guns (2.) 11. Gains for these channels (2.& 3.) %4 Log files: The log file contains information about the survey , the source combination used and some other "gpp" information. If any of the commands * PrinLog * Logf-name * Reset-file under the Utility - LogUtility sub-sub command are used the operator will be asked if a floppy disk file copy of the present logfile is desired. Be sure to insert a formatted floppy disk in the floppy disk drive if so is desired. The name of the file saved on floppy disk will be the same as the name given to the logfile. NB! The current logfile on the hard-disk will otherwise be lost due to the above commands. %5 Opening menu 1. Survey Name : Name of Log file (XXXXXX) 2. No. of samples : Number of samples to be recorded (1-256) 3. No. of guns : Number of gun channels (1-4) 4. No. of FFH : Number of farfield channels (0-1) 5. Far field offs.: Offset in display of FFhyd 6. Trig start gun : Start of search for firing time 7. Trig stop gun : Stop of search for firing time 8.
