Geo-Spark 1000

    • 220-30 V / 50-60 Hz. "Over-voltage will damage the PS."
    • Quoting from product data sheet: The Geo-Spark 1000 PPS can be operated from a small 230 V /5 kVA generator or from ordinary 230 V /16 A mains socket. The system is designed not to draw excessive peak currents.
Geo-Spark 2000
  • Energy: 2 kJ / can be expanded to 7 kJ
  • Dimensions: H x W x D = 109 x 55 x 71cm
  • Weight: 95 kg for PS, 95 kg for Capacitor Bank
  • Power supply requirements: Single phase, 220-240 V AC, 50-60 Hz, 16 A

Get confirmation that 2 kJ power supply can be used in stand-alone mode.

  • " .. The cable is connected to the yellow decklead by two rotational HV contacts, which allow the cable reel to be operated without disconnecting anything."
  • " .. The coaxial structure of the HV power cable is 100 % safe and reduces all electromagnetic interference to the minimum .."

This very sturdy, special HV cable contains 4 x 10 mm2 inner leads (negative) plus a 40 mm2 outer braiding (ground). USE OF "REMOTE" AND "KEY" CONNECTORS


Advise from manufacturer:

The CSPN remote control includes a remote Key IN option so there is no need for the additional coaxial line unless the key signal is generated away from where you are planning to control the CSPN from in the recording laboratory.

Manufacturer's own REMOTE extension cable is 12x0.5 mm2 with common shield (cut down to 10-way - the number of pins on the connector). Nominal capacitance, core to core : 130 pF/m, and core to screen : 220 pF/m.

HATCH FOR SPARKER SOURCE CABLE, COMPRESSOR ROOM BULKHEAD


Sparker power supply (inside a transit case - so not for permanent installation) can be placed on dedicated shelf inside Seismic compressor room on 4th deck. The power supply provides a high-voltage pulse to the acoustic sound generating device towed behind the vessel. A hatch is thus required in compressor room bulkhead.
