We need a replacement for navigation/mapping laptop used several seasons, placed adjacent to driver's seat, the Lenovo (IBM) ThinkPad X300 13.3" WXGA+. The important features of this this laptop, that should be duplicated as far as possible in a new model, were:

Compact size: 31.8 x 23.1 x 1.9 cm, weight 1.43 kg
Solid state harddisk (SSD) 64 GB (laptop has been used on extensive fieldwork activities, often in high-vibration & impact environments, without a hitch, which we ascribe to the SSD).
Screen: 13.3", 1440 x 900 ( WXGA+ ) resolution, which is more pleasing then the limited desktop real estate area provided by the standard 1366 x 768 resolution offered today.
Low power consumption (23 W ? check)
